Starting from the Rockport Chamber of Commerce (downstairs at the Lantana House on Broadway, across from the Richdale Convenience Store), walk toward the water, and turn left toward Dock Square, continue through Dock Square onto Main Street, and walk to the fork in the road, bear right and you will find FRONT BEACH. Continuing in the same direction, toward Pigeon Cove, is BACK BEACH located on Beach Street.

Parking meters are enforced seven days a week on many Rockport streets.

Front and Back Beaches are public beaches. The other beaches listed below require a parking sticker. If you visit for a week or more you may choose to purchase a parking sticker, available at the Rockport Town Hall or at the Information Center located on Route 127 (Upper Main Street).

Again starting from the Rockport Chamber of Commerce, head toward the water and turn right and follow the sidewalk on the water side of the street, walking past "The Blacksmith Shop" and take the first street on the left, which is Atlantic Avenue. A most delightful walk, which follows the shore, and takes one past Rockport Harbor, the Yacht Club and the Headlands. Walk up the hill and take a left onto Norwood Avenue, OLD GARDEN BEACH is around the corner.

The other Rockport beaches are easily reached by car. From Broadway turn right onto Mt. Pleasant Street up the hill, which then becomes South Street. Follow Route 127A for about a mile and a half until you come to the fork in the road at Turk's Head Inn; bear left, and at the end of South Street you'll come to PEBBLE BEACH on the left and CAPE HEDGE BEACH straight ahead.

Continue straight on Route 127A at Turk's Head Inn for about half a mile to Seaview Street on the left and you will enter the parking lot for the Rockport end of LONG BEACH.
