Rockport Chamber Auction a Rousing Success!

The Rockport Golf Club's clubhouse was filled to capacity on September 29 for the Rockport Chamber's annual goods and services auction, where over 280 donated items worth nearly $60,000 were up for bid. Throughout the evening, enthusiastic bidders competed for ski trips, dining and vacation packages, prints and original paintings by Rockport artists, and valuable gifts and gift certificates donated by the Rockport and Cape Ann business community. Rockport's Auction 2006 proceeds exceeded 2005 levels by a wide margin, and significantly surpassed our $30,000 goal, raising key funding to support the Chamber's Rockport programs and services. Special thanks go out to all members of the Rockport Auction Committee, chaired by Laurene Wessel, for a job well done. And to all who donated to and participated in Auction 2006, thank you for helping to make this year's auction Rockport's best ever!
