RHODES 19 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Sandy Bay Yacht Club's Rhodes 19, Fleet 36, will host the 2006 Rhodes
19 National Championship on the waters of Sandy Bay. Last
year's Rhodes 19 National Championship was cancelled when the host
fleet, based in Fairhope, Alabama, was devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
This year's Championship is a best of five out of six races to determine
the National Championship. It is anticipated that there will be approximately
30 of these one-design sailboats competing for the National title.
The Rockport Headlands or the end of Bearskin Neck should provide
the public with the best viewing advantage for the races.
