Crowds Flock to Rockport for Harvest Festival Sunny skies and blustery winds greeted the throngs of shoppers and festival-goers filling downtown Rockport for the fourth annual Rockport Harvest Festival on October 18 and 19, featuring a port visit by the Navy's USS Hall. The Hall's sailors, together with Rockport residents and visitors of all ages, delighted in music and merriment, great shopping and dining specials, street entertainers, the Scarecrow Stroll and Harvest Market, pumpkin decorating, bakes sales, hayrides, and more, creating a fun and festive atmosphere and good feeling all around. Special thanks to this year's Steering Committee, chaired by Sarah Kelly, our nearly 100 supporting business participants, and the scores of volunteers and donors who together helped make the 2008 Harvest Festival another resounding success. | |||||||||
